Distrelec is one of Europe's leading distributors of electronics, automation and measurement technology. My role involved working with Marketing to drive traffic to our portfolio of 23 websites by designing and developing a wide range of web pages and emails, banners and printed marketing material.
Each month I worked collaboratively across several departments within the business (Marketing, Purchasing, Search and Email) on large campaigns - such as seasonal sales, supplier branded events and product promotions. A meticulous approach and attention to deal was crucial, because I had to translate the work across 16 languages.
I was responsible for Distrelec's brand guidelines and contributed to the development of their brand assets - such as the organisation and management of image libraries, templates and user guides.
As one of the first to be employed in Distrelec's Manchester Enterprise Hub, I played a pivotal role in defining our collaborative processes, tools and resource requirements.

Venn Digital is a Digital Marketing Agency based in Cheshire. As a Digital Designer, I was responsible for understanding and executing a client brief to ensure their website strategy supports their commercial goals. I worked within a squad (Project Manager, Strategist, Backend Developer, Tester) to find a solution that creatively meets the client brief within a given budget. I would crate layered design concepts and convert them into well formatted HTML and CSS, using JavaScript or pre-made libraries such as jQuery to add interactive elements to enhance the user experience. I ensured every design produced, whether it's a banner or new website template, delivered an effective experience across desktop, mobile and tablet.
The role involved understanding our client's brand so that it is reflected through all digital design collateral and having strong UI design skills with emphasis on UX principles to ensure my work provides a simple, easy to use, user experience that delivers commercial results.
